Timmy is 5 months old! I can't believe it! The time just flies. We are having so much fun enjoying this particular stage. He smiles pretty much every time you look at him and his laugh is getting louder and cuter by the day. He loves touching his toes, rolling over, and eating his rice cereal /baby food combo. As of the past few days he is babbling like crazy--especially if he is left playing on his own for a bit, he will just "talk" to himself and be perfectly content/entertained. For such a young baby, Timothy is VERY into his toys--he will analyze them, shake them, pass them from one hand to the next, reach for them, and get excited when a new one is introduced to him. He is particularly into his exersaucer right now. We call it his little workshop. :) "Standing up" is one of his favorite things to do and when we prop his little feet up on the floor he automatically puts one foot in front of the other as if walking. It has been cracking us up lately. He also automatically "kicks" when we put him in the pool. He LOVES the pool and we get such a kick out of him wearing his little "shades." Baseball is his favorite sport so far--don't walk in fron of the t.v. when he's watching it! Despite being "all boy", people continue to mistake him for a girl (no matter how green or blue the outfit or no matter if he's wearing overalls or jon jons!). His name for when strangers ask "what's her name? / how old is she?" and I don't feel like correcting them is "Sarah"--the first name that popped to mind when I finally had had enough one day at the grocery store. (Surely this stage won't last much longer!)
We had lots of family time over the 4th of July...best of both worlds: beach and mountains! Also, some fun times with friends. I LOVE that Timothy does so well around other people. He will go to them, smile for them, be content with them, and be flexible as we bring him along with us for various activities. I must say, though, that it still remains one of my favorite things to be the only one who's TRULY able to comfort him whenever he does get upset. It's our little bond and I just love meeting the needs of my child and the satisfaction that comes from him being extra happy when he's with me. :) For friends out there who are pregnant, you have a real treat awaiting you! Friends who are already moms, you know what I mean. It's simply the best!
Loving our summer walks on the beach! The Bob does great!
Cowboy birthday party! (hanging out here with my friends/some other moms)
We enjoyed having our friends the Miller's join us for a few days over the 4th.
He looks so much bigger from this same exact picture that we took back in May. Amazing what a few weeks will do!
Timothy's first 4th of July!! We had a great day!
His friend Brooke was getting some great grins out of him.
A visit to the camp where I spent 14 summers!
Timmy loves all his buds!
Next month is August--yikes!! Another birthday for me! But what a year 27 has been!! The rest of the month is super busy for us so if I don't get to blog until then, hope everyone has a great rest of July!
Your post made me smile...I know (and love) the feeling of being a mommy to Jackson. :) So glad we're raising boys together! Jackson still needs to meet his friend Timothy and show him the ropes on everything Auburn. Ha ha! Sorry Tim. Timmy has all these loving aunts to brainwash him the RIGHT way. Love y'all and hope you're doing well. And LOVE the new house addition. Now to just see it in person....
